Finding Glove
The glove held the shape of something so human, something so welcoming; I wanted to touch it.
I reached down to touch the glove
in hopes to find a connection.
But what was left was an empty shell
of a five finger peel.
Two gloves lost
Cut from the same cloth
Hemmed at the seam
Touched palm, to palm
Fingertips, to fingertips
I find myself looking for you every day in bits and pieces on the ground.
Project Statement
Finding Glove, 2017 is for all of you who followed my brief affair with finding lost gloves and posting them on Instagram. I made a book that contains 76 pages of photographs and poems that reveal this obsession of sorts in an age of love, loss, and longing. Purchase a copy of the book to see the project in its entirety.
